Six terrorists killed, soldier martyred in North Waziristan IBO

In an intelligence-based operation (IBO), the security forces on Saturday killed six terrorists while a soldier of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in general area Mir Ali of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, the military said in a statement. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in the ensuing exchange of fire, six terrorists were killed by the army troops, whereas eight others were injured during the battle. Meanwhile, Sepoy Abdul Hakeem, a 33-year-old resident of Naseerabad district, embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly with the militants. The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from terrorists’ hideouts, who according to ISPR had remained actively involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and target killing of innocent civilians. According to ISPR, the incident took place on Saturday during which terrorist Azeem Ullah aka Ghazi was killed due to effective engagement by Pakistani troops.
